The 2015 Northwest Community Forest Forum is the only regional community forest conference and networking event focused on community forests in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and northern California. Now in its second year, the Forum brings together 100 community-based organizations, land trusts, national and regional non-profits, landowner, legal and financial advisors, funders, and local, state and federal government representatives to elevate understanding and awareness of community-owned forests as a model to sustain working forest lands and communities that depend on them.
This event will include an opening reception and a full-day, interactive forum with opportunities for participants to:
Improve knowledge and understanding of all elements of a community forest transaction, with particular focus on financing.
Facilitate the sharing of lessons learned and successes among groups pursuing and/or managing community-owned forests.
Identify gaps in technical and financial resources available to community forest projects.
Who should attend?
Registration is open to all individuals, organization and businesses engaged in the development of community forests in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Northern California.
