The fourth in our series of six energy workshops. February 26, 2016 in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

This workshop is part of a series of six energy workshops taking place across Oregon that is designed to help rural communities identify energy savings and energy generation opportunities, and invest in local energy programs and projects.

Participants will learn about many successful projects using geothermal energy and solar, and will help identify what type of opportunities are available to help Klamath Falls move forward in meeting its energy independence goals. Presentations will include residential energy, agriculture energy, renewable energy cooperatives, and emerging technologies. During the lunch hour, attendees will be able to have small group discussions with experts in renewable energy and efficiency applications, and available utility programs, tax credits, and state and federal cost share programs.

Who attends the workshops?

Klamath Falls residents, agricultural producers, community leaders, decision makers, economic development professionals, conservation districts, county commissioners, business leaders, facility managers, public utility districts, tribes, and those interested in helping the Klamath Basin pursue a clean energy future.

Workshops are co-hosted by Sustainable Northwest, Lake County Resources Initiative, and Wallowa Resources. The Klamath Falls workshop is being developed in collaboration with the Klamath Watershed Partnership, the Klamath County Chamber of Commerce, City of Klamath Falls, and South Central Oregon Economic Development District. Local partners are pursuing investments in clean energy to help create a healthier environment for their community, grow the tax base, and save and keep money in their community.
