We suggest participants arrive the evening of Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, and plan on staying through the end of the day on Thursday, May 5th, 2022.
The 2022 Community Forest Forum and Field Tour will bring together people from across the Pacific Northwest to share, learn, and contribute to the growing interest in community forests that we continue to see across the region.
On Wednesday, we will travel from the conference venue to the forest and hear from Ray Entz and Mike Lithgow with the Kalispel Natural Resource Department. We then head over to Sandpoint for a second tour stop and hear from Katie Cox and Regan Plumb with the Kaniksu Land Trust. On the second day, we will gather at the conference venue and enjoy an in-person series of presentations, panels, and breakout sessions.
Topics include funding & finance, outreach & marketing, and silviculture & natural resource management. We expect this gathering will be slightly smaller than the past years’ attendance of 85 people.
