What a journey! Sustainable Northwest is proud to have hosted the third annual Spring Energy Tour, May 16-17, 2019, this year taking place in and around Central Oregon.
Tour highlights included:
An interactive tour at Three Sisters Irrigation District - a model for carbon-neutral farming, irrigation modernization, and river restoration;
Panel discussions on "Solar, Storage, and Resilience," and "Financing Your Energy Projects;"
A discussion with the City of Prineville and Wisewood Energy about a community-initiated biomass project and managing a growing population;
Visit an affordable housing retirement community on the path to "net zero;"
Site visit Cypress Creek Renewables Neff Solar Project, with discussions on solar siting and shared solar opportunities; and
Evening networking reception at Worthy Brewing, with Farmers Conservation Alliance and Deschutes River Conservancy
