Trent advances SNW's mission with science and strategic support across many of our programs. Traveling across the region, he provides scientific support and technical assistance to Tribal Nations, the Forest Service, and rural partners, offering a better understanding of the historical and current ecological context as partners consider trade-offs.

Trent has an MSc in Forestry & Wildlife and a PhD in Forest Ecology. Before joining SNW, he worked in the natural resource field for over 20 years, including for federal agencies and private landowners.

Trent lives on the Oregon Coast with his partner, Chris, and their two dogs (Baxter and Daughtie), who help Trent hunt in the ancient sport of falconry.
