Woody Biomass Clearinghouse

A resource page for all things woody biomass, from conference proceedings on the utilization of woody biomass for forest products and energy generation to public policy recommendations.

We promote woody biomass utilization as a tool to restore forests, promote local economic development in communities, enhance the use of renewable energy at the local level, and support green building initiatives. Below is a collection of resources on woody biomass utilization.

“Sustainable Northwest’s programs and staff have been an inspiration and catalyst to my work here in Central Oregon. Without their wise guidance and capable technical assistance, we might still have something to work with, but it wouldn’t have actualized to the robust, savvy program that it now is.”

Scott Aycock
Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council
