Sustainable Northwest is pleased to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors: Camilla Seth, Jeff Allen, and Marcie McLaughlin.
Sustainable Northwest is pleased to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors: Camilla Seth, Jeff Allen, and Marcie McLaughlin. All three have deep experience in the nonprofit field and bring new expertise to Sustainable Northwest in the areas of market mechanisms for conservation, organizational development and rural policy. Camilla Seth is an Associate Consultant with Sustainable Finance Limited, and has worked with private, public and non-profit sectors on environmental issues for over twelve years. She is the former Vice President for Environmental Affairs at Citigroup where her unit was responsible for developing and promoting the company's environmental sustainability strategy. Prior to Citigroup, Camilla was Program Officer for the Environment at the Surdna Foundation. Camilla's experience with market-based mechanisms that help address issues of climate change and biodiversity protection will be a tremendous asset to Sustainable Northwest.
Jeff Allen is Executive Director of the Crater Lake National Park Trust, an organization that works to protect, promote, and enhance Crater Lake National Park, Oregon. Additionally, Jeff works as a consultant to help develop and strengthen programs and organizations, attract resources, and bring stakeholders together. He previously served for ten years as Executive Director of the Oregon Environmental Council. Jeff brings a strong understanding of organizational development, deep experience in collaborative problem solving and an effective advocacy track record to Sustainable Northwest.
Marcie McLaughlin is Director of Constituent Relations and represents RUPRI (the Rural Policy Research Institute) in Washington D.C. RUPRI conducts policy-relevant research and facilitates public dialogue to assist policymakers in understanding the rural impacts of public policies and programs. Marcie formerly served as the founding executive director of Minnesota Rural Partners, Minnesota's state rural development council. Marcie's presence in D.C. and her rich understanding of rural policy issues makes her a great addition to the Sustainable Northwest Board.
