Trent has been in the natural resource field for more than 20 years, including serving as a science advisor on forestry and wildlife issues for collaboratives, national forests, Indian Tribes, and private landowners. He works to enhance restoration projects by addressing science needs and better understanding ecological context.

Trent earned his PhD in forest ecology at Oregon State University.

He lives on the Oregon Coast with his partner, Chris, and German Wirehaired Pointer, who helps Trent hunt in falconry.
