Dallas Hall Defrees is a fifth-generation cattle rancher with an established career in rangeland ecology and management. She is an engaged, active member of her family’s cattle operation, which has received awards for excellent land management, including National Tree Farmer of the Year.

Dallas has a Master’s Degree in Rangeland Ecology and Management, and is passionate about the interface between science and land management.

She lives and works in Baker City, Ore., with her husband and two children.
