A Fun Evening of Sustainable Startups

Thank you to everyone who attended our Sustainable Startup Happy Hour on July 12th!

Sustainable Northwest, TiE Oregon, Oregon Venture Fund, and Elevate Capital hosted a happy hour featuring local startups on the cutting edge of sustainability, all behind the scenes of Portland's only sustainable wood warehouse. The happy hour included quick pitches from local eco-conscious startups, tours, appetizers, beverages, and plenty of time for mingling.

The night kicked off with remarks from Sustainable Northwest President Greg Block, Oregon State Treasurer Tobias Reed, and Sustainable Northwest Board Member, Founding Principal of Pondero Group, and emcee Nat Parker, followed by pitches from the following local sustainable startups:

Community Energy Labs - commercial building control solutions monitor, learn, and adjust building energy use to meet your goals.

Gybe - a technology start-up that provides autonomous measurements of water quality for lakes, rivers, and coastal areas.

LeapFrog Design - creating drought-proof water abundance with sustainable onsite water reuse.

Photon Marine - preserving our waterways and oceans through increased adoption of electric marine propulsion technology

Renuvi Energy - grid scale energy storage solution that provides greater capacity, higher output, and longer lifecycle than competing technologies all while using safe and environmentally friendly materials.

Sankofa Lumber - processing reclaimed wood debris for use in commercial-scale manufacturing and construction.

Skip Technology - developing a novel flow battery for storing large quantities of electricity

Wild Nectar Collection - a bespoke set of luxury travel destinations and experiences designed to take you on immersive journeys throughout the world.
